How long do lessons run for?
How long do lessons run for?
- Both group and private lessons are approximately 1 hour in length.
When are lessons available?
- Group lessons: These run during the school term on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays each week.
- Private lessons: Available Monday through Friday at specific times throughout the day, or by special request.
Who are the lessons designed for?
- Group lessons: Ideal for beginner and intermediate level skateboarders.
- Private lessons: Perfect for everyone, from those just starting, to aspiring pros.
What are the goals for these lessons?
- Group lessons: Build confidence, develop new skills, and have fun in a social environment.
- Private lessons: Focus on technique, explore new possibilities, and build self-belief. Learn how to prepare and practice for contests, and tailor lessons to your specific abilties.
What is the cost of the lessons?
- Group lessons: $30 per lesson.
- Private lessons: $80 per lesson.
Is equipment provided?
- We can provide equipment upon request; however, we strongly encourage participants to bring their own board and helmet.
What are the risks involved with skateboarding?
- Skateboarding is a dangerous and unpredictable sport that can result in injury. Helmets are mandatory and must be worn at all times while skating. Protective equipment, such as knee pads and elbow pads, are optional but highly recommended for added safety.
What happens if a lesson has to be cancelled due to rain / weather?
- In the event of a lesson being cancelled due to bad weather, we can offer a replacement lesson at a convenient time or provide a refund for the lesson.
